Hei , guy, u actually drink corrode water! Im not bluffing. I design the water system. Including home water system, hot water system, water feature, spa , swimming pool, hot water from solar, steam bath, filtering system, sewerage, water treatment plant, rain harvest, reverse osmosis, ion exchange, ultra filtration…. Actually all water system.
The old design of the home water system can separate to 4 parts.
- Water supply (Material GI pipe)
- Basement Tank (Material GI water tank)
- .Roof Top Tank (Material GI water Tank)
- Home tank (HDPE)
Off course the new system using non metal material (polypipe). GI material still corrode for long time duration. Eventless some water tank system have no lining (HDPE lining). Water direct contact to the metal and release anion and Kation. This process call oxidation or corrosion. The red color new material settle down to the tank. Some of them direct supply to your body.
As the solution some of people using filtration to reduce contaminant in the water. You must properly select the filter. Ill try to guide u to select the filter:-
1. Their spectrum, Usually measure by micron
2. Auto backwash
3. Filter material itself (usually stainless steel or non metal)
4. Cartridge type (membrane, pleated, sand, carbon….)
5. Filter's life span
6. Maximum pressure
