Chess Time's Management

I just play for rapid and blitz game only. For long game, its kill much of my time. I cant waste my time just for chess. Im sorry. This advice just for me. I love to play long game, but sometimes when getting at my ages a lot responsibility need to take care.

After the game u can calculate more accurate compare who never play. That’s is good benefit. Last time I played long game at (MSSM) Temerloh (SMART) 1996. Thats time Mas vs Mok. If I not wrong Mok wins that’s game.

For 25 minutes game, I play a lot because game just one day. futher more I can make a lot of friends. Although im not talkative guy. Im okey, I think…
Base on graph I just provide to you(25m=1500sec)…


1. If u good in opening (1-10moves) u may make without thinking. Actually all player use same opening almost all their life.(That’s why I provide the opening)

2. Sub variation and novelty. Here u need to understand the theory every sub variation chose by the opponent. Take more time here. The novelty base on creativity or computer analysis. Ur natural talent and understanding knowledge take benefit here.

3. Middle game, exchange pieces. Use a lot time also. U must understand opponent plan before exchange ur minor or major pieces.

4. Here always happened checkmate combination or tactical combination. The active pieces can make more opportunity compare to the bad one. Have a look.

5. Ending. Bishop better at open game. Knight use at close game. Simple rule. Sometimes other reason need to take precaution as the advance pass pawn or Queen ending.

6. Ending level 2. Check any plan of opponent. Centre attack, double edge or rook game. This time u need more practice. Just less 10 sec every move. Learn more ending.

7. Avoid any perpetual check or safe place for the opponent. Make easy win. If u are bad position so find the safe place or perpetual check. Haha. That’s simple.

Here just guideline only. When u play tournament, the time should be 50 minutes. You have a lot of time on that. I less happened loss on time because I try to manage my time at the spec. The player who have time’s struggle easy to make blunder. Believe me.
